On October 10, 2017, I had the honor of representing Queens Medical Associates and my son’s elementary school Brooklyn Avenue School in Valley Stream Long Island in delivering the Hurricane Relief donations that were collected from Queens Medical Associates and from Brooklyn Avenue School at one of the Puerto Rico Hurricane Relief drop off locations in Long Island. We were greeted by US Army personnel Staff Sergeant Marcelino Alejandro and Staff Sergeant Aimee Hernandez that had just came from delivering supplies to Puerto Rico the day before. The military has been involved in the relief efforts, restoration and rebuilding Puerto Rico. We were surrounded by donations that have been made by the generosity of many individuals from all areas. It was a wonderful experience for my family and me of being part of helping those in need.
Staff Sergeant Marcelino and Staff Sergeant Amiee expressed their gratitude towards QMA and Brooklyn Avenue School for their contributions. They mentioned that there is still a lot of work to be done in Puerto Rico but together we stand and we will rise. The US Army Staff Sergeant Marcelino was being interviewed by NY FiOS One News reporter on October 10, 2017 in regards to the situation in Puerto Rico. Click here to view interview.

I would like to thank everyone who donated to the victims of the recent disaster in Puerto Rico. For anyone that we like to donate please donate to the below reputable organizations that are in Puerto Rico working on the grounds delivering supplies and assisting those in need.
